A primordial space: A line, a few squared entrances to a landscape with two figures up close (in that case, defeated men), helping each other to carry their empty bodies. Their heavy heads are overflown with id.

Note: Art exists in the emptiness of the canvas.

The emptiness of the painting, the bare canvas, extends from my artistic instinct which perceives reduction as a value.

Each line, colour mark or thought are facing a relevancy test. It leads me to leave out anything unnecessary for the world I’m trying to portray.

On the one hand, this world becomes empty. On the other hand, the painted bits are forced to balance a very big void.
